Residential fire reported early Wednesday morning in Janesville

Six Janesville residents were forced out into the cold early Wednesday morning where their duplex caught fire.
The Janesville Fire Department says firefighters were called to a two-family home on the 200 block of South Academy Street around 2:00 (Wednesday) morning.
All of the people who live in the home were able to get out safely before first responders arrived.
The Janesville Transit System sent a bus to the scene of the fire so the 32 firefighters who responded from departments in Janesville, City of Beloit, Town of Turtle, and Town of Beloit had a place to warm up.
Crews remained on scene for more than eight hours, hampered by the extreme cold.
The residents who live in the home are being provided aid by the Red Cross.
