United Way Blackhawk Region reaches its goal of $52,000 donated by the community, triggering a $52,000 match from an anonymous donor.

The donations fulfills the non-profit’s campaign goal of $2.6 million dollars, but they’re still accepting further donations for additional resources to help fund local programs.

CEO Mary Fanning-Penny says in a news release they had over 8,000 individual donors and 200 local organizations that contributed.

Regal Beloit Foundation and Prent Corp. were the two biggest donors at $10,000 each.

Final campaign results and award winners will be announced at their annual Live United Celebratoin on March 20.
