The Beloit Police Department says a 10-year-old child with special needs was inside a vehicle that was stolen Tuesday night.
According to a news release, the 2016 black Nissan Sentra was stolen from the 800 block of Johnson Street around 7:06 p.m.
The vehical was found 40 minutes later in the 100 block of Eighth Street, and the child was found safely at 7:47 p.m. in the 1900 block of Fairfax Avenue.
Police do not have a suspect in custody as of Tuesday night, and the investigation is active and ongoing.
