Milton School District holding open house for upcoming referendum

The School District of Milton wants to make sure residents are informed about everything on their upcoming $59.9 million referendum.
Director of Administrative Operations Jerry Schuetz says they’re holding an open house on Tuesday to showcase all of the proposed projects.
The open house will feature brief presentations from Superintendent Tim Schigur and school board president Tom Westrick.
Schuetz says the goal is to show district residents about what exactly they’ve voting on, so they can make an informed decision.
Projects in the $59.9 million referendum include additions and renovations to nearly every district school, including a new high school pool.
The event comes amid controversy on the school board over contested stipends paid to district administrators.
The open house starts at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Harmony Elementary School.
