The group of concerned former Y members are a little less concerned after meeting with officials from the YMCA of Northern Rock County on Monday.
Paul Murphy and the three other former members had a “productive meeting” with members of the Y board of directors and Jon Lange, the CEO of the Oconomowoc YMCA, who is assisting the Janesville Y as they transition their leadership.
Murphy says it was the first time his group was really able to explain their concerns and get answers to their questions.
The YMCA of Northern Rock County parted ways with former CEO Tom Den Boer last week after placing him on administrative leave.
Murphy says the Y board also approved two new directors that were recommended by his group.
He and the other members will continue to monitor the local non-profit to ensure their governance concerns are addressed.
