The Janesville man who commented “hahaha catch me if yuh can” on the city’s “Wanted Wednesday” post about him on Facebook (see below) appears in Rock County Court for his bail hearing.
19-year-old Kody Finfrock was in court Thursday for eight different cases against him, facing an extensive list of charges including party to the crime of theft of a firearm, battery, domestic abuse and disorderly conduct.
Assistant District Attorney Scott Dirks told the court Finfrock escaped to Georgia and then Maryland after he and his girlfriend allegedly stole the gun. Dirks indicated Finfrock could be extradited to Maryland for yet another incident.
Judge Karl Hanson set a total of $4,500 cash bond across the eight cases.
The city of Janesville posted a wanted notice for Finfrock’s arrest on February 13.
That same day, an account appearing to belong to Finfrock commented on the post, taunting the city and the police department while on the run.

The Janesville Police Department said they received plenty of tips and information because of the Facebook post, and Finfrock turned himself nine days after it was posted.
He’s due back in Rock County Court for an arraignment on March 6.
