The City of Beloit Fire Department is holding a pushback ceremony to commemorate its new fire engine that will be housed at Station #2.
The ceremony will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 14, 2019, at Station #2, 2111 Cranston Road. The public and neighboring fire departments are welcome to attend this pushback ceremony.
The engine was built by Pierce Manufacturing in Appleton and is now ready to go into service. The engine will replace an engine that was built in 1999. The new engine has a raised area that allows the motor pump operators to be off the road while responding to calls with significant traffic concerns, such as when the crew is responding to a call on the interstate.
