A Janesville dad and his girlfriend are under arrest after a seven-year-old was found wandering alone early Friday morning.
Janesville Police say a citizen found the little girl walking in the 2500 block of West Court Street just before 1:00 a.m. and brought her to the police department.
The dad, 41-year-old Christopher M. Smith of Janesville, and his girlfriend, 43-year-old Jane M. Postle were later located an arrested at a local tavern on suspicion of child neglect.
The child was turned over to her mother.
