Beloit panel discussion will educate residents on child abuse and family law

April is Child Abuse Awareness Month, and an upcoming event in Beloit will help continue to raise that awareness.
The Tre Foundation, Beloit Domestic Violence Survivor Center and the Sexual Assault Recovery Program are hosting a panel discussion and presentation on family law and child abuse.
The speakers will include attorneys Kelly Freeman and Jennifer Nash along with Rock County Family Court Commissioner Tom Kolpien.
Tre Foundation co-founder Ami Orava says abuse isn’t always visible on the outside and tends to be more common than people think.
The educational session will run from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday at the Beloit Public Library.
