Motorists traveling East Milwaukee Street in Janesville will have no choice but to avoid the area near the Interstate for several days next week.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation says that as part of the I-39/90 expansion project, crews will be removing and replacing the southbound bridge over Milwaukee Street.
For the safety of workers and drivers, Milwaukee Street will be closed under the Interstate from 6:00 Tuesday morning until 6:00 Thursday evening.
Motorists will be required to take alternate routes although the access road to Marshall Middle School will remain open for student drop off.
