Currently citizens of Janesville get four minutes twice a month to say whatever they want to the City Council and anyone else who’s listening, but that could soon change.
Assistant to the City Manager Maggie Darr says the City Council is considering a proposal that would limit public comments at meetings to items that are actually on the agenda.
Darr says the thought is that the change could streamline meetings that can often go for several hours.
The City Council will hold a public hearing on the proposal before voting on June 10th.
