Janesville police are looking for two suspects wanted in connection with a violent armed robbery.
According to a news release, officers responded to a report of a gun shot at an apartment on the 400 block of West Milwaukee Street just after 1:00 Wednesday morning.
The victim told police that two black men were invited into his apartment by a female acquaintance and that one of them displayed a handgun and demanded money.
After taking an undisclosed amount of cash, one of the suspects hit the victim in the head with the gun, at which point it went off. No one was struck by the bullet.
The victim was treated and treated for a head injury and released from a local hospital.
The incident remains under investigation.
