A rural Janesville woman is accused of selling puppies infected with a deadly virus.

40-year-old Nicole L. Musick is charged in Rock County Court with misdemeanor mistreating animals.

According to the criminal complaint a couple bought two puppies from Musick last year, and one had to be euthanized because of complications from canine parvovirus.

The second puppy also had the virus, but treatment saved him.

The complaint also mentions two other families who bought puppies from Musick that had to be euthanized.

Court records indicate that Musick has been found guilty in the past of not providing sufficient water and dogs running at large.
