A 24-year-old Janesville man is arrested after a standoff with police Wednesday morning.
According to a news release, Daniel T. Simmons was taken into custody on suspicion of battery domestic violence and disorderly conduct while armed.
Police responded to an apartment on the 900 block of Wright Road after a victim reported a domestic dispute.
The victim told officers Simmons was armed with a handgun and threatening to shoot people.
Police closed off the area for a little under 40 minutes, and their crisis negotiator talked Simmons out of the residence peacefully.
