A 47-year-old Beloit man is arrested on suspicion of fourth offense operating while intoxicated after his vehicle ended up in a ditch Sunday night.
The Rock County Sheriff’s Office says just before 9:00 p.m. a vehicle driven by Michael Boyer was traveling east on East County Highway S. Boyer intended to turn onto Highway BT but missed the turn. He then did a U-turn and ended up on Highway BT, but went across Highway S and ended up in a ditch.
Investigation determined the road was wet from rain and speed also played a role in the crash. No one was hurt.
After officers noticed signs of impairment Boyer was taken to the Rock County Jail where he consented to a blood draw. He was cited for driving drunk and driving too fast for conditions.
