A 43-year-old Monroe man is under arrest on suspicion of 3rd offense operating while intoxicated following a two-vehicle accident with injuries on the fourth of July.
Monroe Police say officers were dispatched to a crash at 13th Avenue and 19th Street just after 7:30 p.m.
Investigation that a vehicle driven by a 24-year-old Monroe man that was headed northbound on 13th Avenue collided with a westbound vehicle on 19th Street driven by Travis J. Smith.
A passenger in the first vehicle was transported to a local hospital for their injuries.
The 24-year-old Monroe man was cited for failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign. Smith was arrested for 3rd offense OWI.
