State Agriculture Secretary Brad Pfaff is impressed with the farms in Rock County.
He toured Arndt Farms, Skelly’s Farm Market and Roger Rebout and Sons Farm with local state legislators Tuesday morning. Their day started with a tour of the Seneca Foods plant in Janesville.
He was joined by State Representatives Don Vruwink (D-Milton), Mark Spreitzer (D-Beloit), Deb Kolste (D-Janesville) and Senator Janis Ringhand (D-Evansville), and other legislators had members of their office in attendance.
Pfaff says he’s working to help farmers deal with lower prices caused by tariffs.
He believes every farm is different and they can’t have a one-size-fits-all plan to support the industry in the state.
He wants to market the story of Wisconsin agriculture to set them apart from other states.
