A 59-year-old Edgerton man is under arrest on suspicion of 5th offense operating while intoxicated following a single-vehicle crash Monday in Fulton Township.
The Rock County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to the report of a hit and run occurring near the intersection of Highway 59 and the Interstate just after 9:00 Monday night.
Investigation determined that a vehicle driven by James C. Finn failed to negotiate a roundabout, struck a wooden traffic sign post, and then drove into the parking lot of McDonald’s where deputies located him.
After failing several field sobriety tests and admitting to drinking, Finn was taken into custody on suspicion of 5th offense OWI.
