David Wilson resigns from Beloit School Board

The Beloit Board of Education has a vacancy to fill following the abrupt resignation of Vice President David Wilson.
In a Facebook post Wilson says he’s resigning effective immediately because he and his family are relocating and will no longer be residents of Beloit.
Wilson made waves last week when he raised concerns about what he feels are a disproportionate number of black staff and administrators who have left the district or been reassigned.
In a news release the district says it is accepting applications from people interested in filling the remainder of Wilson’s term which expires in April of 2020.
The deadline to apply is September 4th.
