Another Guinness World Record could be set in Janesville on Saturday morning.
Rock Aqua Jays Vice President Kevin Ostermeier says they want to set a record with eight barefoot pyramids up at the same time for 200 meters.
Ostermeier says they have to use the waters within RAJ Stadium and go further south of the Memorial Bridge to have the space for the pyramid to stand up long enough.
They’ll ski past the jump before getting up to top speed to form the pyramids. They have to drop off once they reach the power lines that cross the Rock River, even as the boat passes underneath the railroad bridge.
Guinness isn’t sending a representative to judge in person, but Ostermeier says the Rock Aqua Jays are setting up multiple cameras with a certified survey company verifying the distance the skiers travel.
The plan to start their attempts around 7:00 a.m. Saturday to avoid high winds or currents.
