Group reacts to movie theater liquor proposal

A local substance abuse prevention organization isn’t taking a stand against serving booze in movie theaters, but it would like the practice closely regulated. Janesville Mobilizing 4 Change Director Erin Davis has some suggestions if the Janesville City Council allows movie theaters to apply for liquor licenses.  Davis suggests requirements like only serving alcohol in the lobby, limiting sales to one small drink at a time, or only allowing it in theaters where PG-13 and R rated movies are being shown to minimize the exposure to the very young. The city council considers the measure September 23rd.
