Rock County’s newest farm crop may be tourism. UW-Extension Agriculture Agent Nick Baker says many local farmers are learning visitors want to explore life in the country.  He says many people have no idea about life on the farm, or where food comes from.  Baker says farm markets and niche agriculture are becoming much more popular in Wisconsin.  State officials say Wisconsin’s Agricultural tourism grew more than five-percent in the fourth quarter of last year alone.  Baker says the Governor has proclaimed this Friday as Agricultural Tourism Day.
