Being described as an epidemic, awareness about addiction is growing in Rock County. Sheriff’s Sergeant Jay Williams says a number of organizations are coming together in the hopes of connecting resources with those in need. Not just those suffering from addiction, but family members and others concerned. The 4th Annual Rock For Recovery event will include resource booths, speakers, an awareness walk, and candlelight vigil. The Rock County RxDrug Abuse and Heroin Task Force, Janesville Mobilizing for Change, and the Rock County Drug Court Treatment Program, with funding and support from Rock County Human Services are all working together on the event Wednesday, October 9th from 6:00 p.m. til 8:00 p.m. at the fairgrounds.
