The YWCA Rock County gets a big funding boost from the United Way Blackhawk Region. YWCA Executive Director Angela Moore says the almost half-million dollar grant over two-years is the biggest ever from the United Way. Five key programs will continue undiminished thanks to the funding. The programs directly impacted include Immigrant Outreach and Racial Justice, Child Care, Alternatives to Violence, Transitions, and the CARE house. Last year United Way gave $216 thousand to the YWCA.
