A local teacher and youth football coach is arrested on drug charges.
Beloit Police say officers were conducting a drug-related investigation in relation to an incident that occurred shortly before noon Tuesday in a parking lot on the 1700 block of Madison Road.
42-year-old Percival Smith and 41-year-old Laura Smith were arrested on suspicion of party to the crime of possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, and drug loitering.
Beloit Police say Percival Smith is a permanent substitute teacher in the School District of Beloit and football coach at McNeel Intermediate School.
