Beloit City Manager Lori Curtis-Luther is responding to public concern about the potential environmental impact of a proposed stadium along the river downtown. Curtis-Luther says any development of this scope is subject to Department of Natural Resources approval. She says an environmental impact study would be conducted, and any mitigation required would be followed. The city manager is also quick to point out this area of the river is not known to flood, and there will be plenty of time in the approval process for public input.
