Winner selected in Janesville made products contest

From the more than one-hundred entries, a winner has emerged in the inaugural “Coolest Thing Made in Janesville” contest. City Economic Development Director Gale Price says one goal of the contest was to highlight manufacturing month. Price says the clear winner, from the 4700 votes tallied is Beer from Rock County Brewing Company. The contest did a good job in promoting Janesville’s homegrown products according to Price. Finalists included Dirty Bear Soap, Wisconsin Wagon Company, Rhinehart Self Healing Archery Targets, Blue Corn Chips, and Stainless Steel Tubing by RathGibson. The contest is expected to become an annual event.
