A local non-profit, dedicated to creating pathways out of poverty, is planning its strategy for the future. Community Action of Rock and Walworth Counties Executive Director Cecilia Dever says their latest needs assessment is complete. The latest community needs assessment shows affordable housing and living wage jobs are are the most acute problem. She says 21% of all children live in families at or below the federal poverty level. Dever says Community Action is required to complete the survey every three years to ensure their programs are designed to meet the most critical needs related to poverty in the area.
