For the second time in a little over a month the Beloit Board of Education is appointing a new member to fill a vacancy
The School Board interviewed five people who applied to serve the remainder of John Winklemann’s term on Tuesday and voted to appoint former Converse Elementary School Principal Stephanie Jacobs.
Winklemann submitted his resignation last month because he is about to get married and will be spending less time in Beloit.
Jacobs retired from the district in 2016 after 17 years with the district and eight years as principal at Converse.
