Janesville Transit System has new buses delivered

The Janesville Transit System is getting some new wheels.
All 17 of the Janesville Transit System’s buses are pushing 12 years of age and more than 500,000 miles, which is considered the end of their useful life.
Janesville City Manager Mark Freitag says 15 new buses are being delivered in the next few months.
80 percent of the funding for the new buses comes from state and federal grants.
Members of the public are invited to check out some of the new buses during a special ribbon cutting ceremony on October 29th at 12:15 p.m. along Festival Street in downtown Janesville.
