Opening arguments are expected to begin this afternoon in the homicide trial against a 22-year-old Janesville man.
Julian D. Collazo is accused of stabbing 43-year-old Christine Scaccia-Lubeck of Janesville to death in 2017.
He was arrested along with another woman while driving the victim’s vehicle in Missouri.
Court officials spent the morning wading through a pool of 89 jurors, selecting 12 along with two alternates.
The case is being prosecuted by District Attorney David O’Leary and Assistant District Attorney Scott Dirks.
Collazo is being defended by attorney Jeff Jensen.
