Rock County prosecutors say they have the evidence to prove 22-year-old Julian D. Collazo killed 43-year-old Christine Scaccia-Lubeck of Janesville in her home in December of 2017. Assistant District Attorney Scott Dirks told a Rock County jury Monday Collazo’s DNA was found on beer cans in the victim’s home and under her finger nails. Dirks also says the shoe print found in the puddle of blood next to the victim’s body matches the pattern on shoes worn by Collazo when he was arrest. The prosecution contends Collazo stabbed Scaccia-Lubeck to death, because he’d become infatuated with a 25-year-old woman, and wanted to prove himself to her. Both Collazo and the other woman are expected to testify this week during the trial.
