School District of Janesville eighth-graders will visit dozens of area companies Tuesday as part of Industry Day.
The district says nearly 750 students will meet with executives and employees at various employers including Prent, Aptiv, St. Mary’s Hospital, Seneca Foods, and our own Big Radio.
Alliant Energy also donated $4,000 to cover the costs of bus transportation for the day.
The district says students were placed into “career clusters” based on their interests and will tour companies that fit those groups.
Industry Day is part of the district’s programs to prepare students for their future careers.
