The Edgerton Fire Protection District shows its gratitude to Firehouse Subs restaurant. Several members of the department visited Firehouse subs on Morse Street in Janesville Tuesday to say thank you. Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation offered the Edgerton Fire Protection District a more than $21 thousand grant for new equipment. The district purchased battery powered extrication tools including one new cutter and one new spreader. The tools allow firefighters easier access to vehicles, including farm and construction equipment. Since 2005, the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation has granted more than $42 million across 49 states, including close to $700 thousand in Wisconsin.
