Janesville murder trial heads into day three

Testimony turns technical, and graphic, in day two of the murder trial for 22-year-old Jullian Collazo, accused of killing a 43-year-old Janesville woman in her home almost two-years ago. Rock County Medical Examiner Vincent Tranchida detailed the severity of the 32-stab wounds suffered by Christine Scaccia-Lubeck. Tranchida says many of the internal organs were punctured including the heart and lungs. A Janesville detective also testified saying Collazo changed his story after being arrested in Missouri. Lead investigator Thomas Bechem says Collazo first said he didn’t know Scaccia-Lubeck, but after being returned to Janesville admitted he’d been having a sexual relationship with her. The defense is expected to begin presenting its case Wednesday.
