A 41-year-old town of Beloit man is under arrest, accused of driving his car through the wall of his own garage and then crashing into a neighboring home.
Town of Beloit Police say officers were dispatched to a report of a vehicle that had struck a house shortly before 3:30 Monday afternoon in the 800 block of East Club Lane.
Investigation determined that Peter A. Klinkhammer drove his vehicle through his garage on the 800 block of East Welty, continued through the back yard, and collided with the back an occupied home on East Club Lane.
Both houses sustained structural damage and preliminary estimates for repairs appear to be in the thousands.
Klinkhammer was arrested for operating while intoxicated, first offense and released with a court date.
