Rock County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Barb Tillman announces plans to retire by the end of the year.
After over 37 years at the sheriff’s office, her last day will be December 16.
Tillman served under five different sheriffs during her decorated career, working her way up to second-in-command.
She held leadership positions on various law enforcement committees and associations, and remains active in the Janesville community.
Sheriff Troy Knudson called her a critical and integral part of the sheriff’s office who will be sorely missed.
