City Administrator Ramona Flanigan says the message residents have been sending is they want more done, so next year’s capital projects will focus on road work. She says like many municipalities Edgerton received more state highway aid, and she says it’s all going into streets. Flanigan says the proposed budget does reach the levy limit increase allowed by law, which will be one-and-a-half percent higher than last year. Despite the increase, Flanigan predicts the tax rate will actually go down, because of the increase in the equalized property value.
