The Janesville Jets hockey practices this week might be a little quieter than usual. Hedberg Public Library Marketing Manager Elizabeth Hough says players will be reading Halloween stories at the library’s new branch in the Janesville Mall. Hough calls it a great partnership with the Jets, because the library only recently opened a branch at the mall. She says the Jets actually approached the library, because of their initiative to increase literacy. The event is set for 10:30 a.m. Thursday. Hough says other Jets led reading events are planned to celebrate Veterans day and Christmas.
