RCHS seeks permission to renovate Wilson-King Stone House

The Janesville City Council is expected to approve renovations at the Wilson-King Stone House on the Rock County Historical Society campus as part of their consent agenda on Monday night.
Senior Planner Brian Schweigl says RCHS is looking to turn the space into a commercial kitchen so more events can be hosted on campus.
Schweigl says the existing front porch on the north side of the building would be enclosed to create two restrooms, and the south side of the building would become the new front of the building with a similar covered porch being built.
The Janesville Plan Commission unanimously approved the architectural designs for the project at their meeting this week.
