12-year-old arrested in connection with Janesville fire

A 12-year-old boy is under arrest in connection with a fire at an unoccupied Janesville home Sunday that was the scene of another fire back in April.
Janesville Police Lieutenant Chuck Aagard says first responders were dispatched to a two-story home on the 100 block of South Academy Street just before 3:30 Sunday afternoon.
Aagard say officers learned through interviews that one of the boys, a 12-year-old was playing with a lighter on the porch of the vacant home, and ignited the blaze.
The Janesville Fire Department says determining the extent of the damage was difficult because the home was already heavily burned from the previous fire.
