The city of Janesville unveils new busses for the transit system. A ribbon cutting was held on Festival Street Tuesday afternoon. Transit System Director Rebecca Smith says the six new busses have the latest technology in clean diesel fueling, provide improved accessibility, and will serve the city for 12-to-15 years. State and Federal grants helped fund most of the purchase for the city. Nine additional replacement busses are expected to be added to the city’s fleet next year.
