A Janesville Police K-9 who was diagnosed earlier this year with cancer undergoes surgery.
According to the Janesville Police Department’s Facebook page on Tuesday K-9 Fred had a toe amputated from one of his hind paws.
Janesville Police say it as the same toe that was recently diagnosed with cancer and that it had grown so large in size that it was affecting his movement.
Fred is said to be resting comfortably and he hopes to be back at work in a few weeks.
