Officials with the Town of Beloit are looking into a potential sale of their 14-acre town hall property.

Town Adminstrator Gene Wright brought a proposal to the town board this week for the failing town hall building, which the township moved out of due to its failing infrastructure.

Wright says the buyer is proposing eight duplexes and two four-plex units with on-site storage, shop space and a public baseball diamond.

He estimated the development to be valued between $3-5 million.

The town is working with their assessor to determine what the property is worth.

The board had been previously exploring their options for tearing down or renovating the town hall building
