Local legislatures author telehealth bill

Local legislators work across party lines to improve access to healthcare for Medicaid recipients. Democratic Representative Deb Kolste of Janesville authored a telehealth bill along with Republican Amy Loudenbeck of Clinton. The bill, which has passed both houses of the legislature, would allow impoverished patients to receive health care services remotely by means of telecommunications technology. Kolste says this will improve access to healthcare, particularly in rural areas.   The bill now heads to the Governor for his signature.
