Plans for a superintendent search in the Milton School District may be changing.

The school board was forced to quickly find an interim district leader after former superintendent Tim Schigur’s abrupt resignation late last school year.

They hired Richard Dahman as their interim superintendent back in June, but after Monday night’s school board meeting, board president Joe Martin said they aren’t currently looking for a new superintendent.

In May, board member Tom Westrick said they wanted to hire an interim superintendent and then conduct a more complete search for the permanent position in November or December.

Martin said they’ve been very happy with how Dahman has been able to step in and embrace all the district’s works in progress.

The school board met in closed session Monday night to have a discussion on a superintendent contract, but took no formal action.
