A 70-year-old Janesville man is under arrest on suspicion of 4th offense operating while intoxicated after a concerned citizen reported suspicious activity in the town of Turtle.
The Rock County Sheriff’s Office reports that deputies were dispatched to South Smith Road near East County Highway J just after 6:00 Sunday night on the report that a vehicle was completely blacked out and parked in the middle of the road.
First responders made contact with Paul L. Nardini who was slurring his words and displaying signs of intoxication.
Investigation determined that Nardini had struck a bridge support before his vehicle came to a stop in the middle of the road.
After refusing field sobriety tests, Nardini was taken into custody for drunken diving for the 4th time.
