The longer than expected closure of the Milwaukee Street Bridge in Downtown Janesville isn’t preventing businesses from offering a little holiday cheer. Downtown Janesville Inc. Events Committee Chair Courtney Perakis says Meander Downtown is intended to draw in visitors. Perakis says Meander Downtown includes dozens of business, but also allows “pop-up” shops to test the local market. She says some have even found the event so successful they’ve considered brick-and-mortar locations. Perakis says Meander Downtown Friday from 4:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. will offer the opportunity to visit the stores, ride the trolley, and kick off the holiday season in style.
