School officials in Janesville are keenly aware of shootings this week involving students at high schools in Waukesha and Oshkosh. School District Safety Consultant Brian Donohoue says communication is the key at preventing such tragedies. Donohoue says school staff is typically informed even when incidents happen outside the state. He adds, the district’s five police resource officers work hard to develop relationships with the students so they feel at ease with reporting concerns. He calls the campaign, “If you see something, say something”.
