Janesville bike trail users want more amenities and expanded trails to Milton and Beloit.
That was one of the results of the city’s tri-annual trail user survey conducted this summer.
Associate Planner Alexander Brown said they found more users are walking and jogging on the trail, with slightly less biking compared to years past.
They also found the trail being used more overall, and more users are walking and biking to get to the trail rather than driving.
Overall, the majority of trail users reported feeling safe and satisfied on the trail system.
Brown said trail expansions for Fisher Creek Trail and John Paul Road are part of their short-term expansion priority list.
